Our guides are built from published veterinary and animal welfare sources, such as the Merck Veterinary Manual, VCA Animal Hospitals, the ASPCA and the RSPCA, and many list their main sources at the end. Every guide explains when a problem needs a vet rather than home care, and we correct and update articles when guidance changes.
